Homer E. Adams
March 13th, 1925 - October 27th, 2017
Homer Edward Adams (BM1, USN Retired) Homer "Ed" Adams, 92, of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully on October 27, 2017. Ed was born in Ludlow, MA on March 13, 1925 and joined the Navy when he was 17 years old. He fought in WWII and Korea. He married the love of his life Christina Rose Melograno in September of 1953. They moved to Tucson in 1963 after he retired from the Navy as a Boatswains Mate - First Class, where they raised their four children. He worked for several Title Companies in Tucson and was a member of the Arizona Polish Club, where he served a term as president and numerous other officer positions. Ed also co-hosted 'The Polish Hour' for a number of years, a radio program that played Polish music. He was an avid stamp and coin collector and after his retirement from the title business volunteered over 15,000 hours at the VA Hospital Stamp Club. Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years Christina and his positive attitude and sense of humor are carried on by his four children and their spouses, Tony (Elizabeth), Eddie (Hollie), Louis (Glynis) and Laura (Rick), nine grandchildren, Kevin, Sam, Sean, Zandor, Jayla, Morgan, Laneya, Lisa and Rikki, seven great grandchildren, Jacob, Fletcher, Sierra, Dante, Elijah, Torren and Vincent, his sisters Terry and Jackie, and his brother Joe. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Kacee and his brother Louis. We will celebrate his life with a Memorial Service on Tuesday, November 7 at 10:00 AM at Brings Funeral Home 6910 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ which will be followed by a military burial at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
