Robert Loring Snow
January 28th, 1942 - December 13th, 2013
SNOW, Robert Loring, 71, long-time Tucson resident, father of two, career Air Force and Civil Service, went to be with our Lord in heaven on December 13, 2013. He was born in Yonkers, N.Y. on January 28, 1942. He grew up in White Plains, N.Y. and joined the Air Force soon after high school. He lived half his life in Tucson, but also while on active duty had assignments in Nebraska, California, Massachusetts, Japan, and Thailand. The highlight of his career was serving as the crew chief of a 4 star General's plane during the late 1960's. He brought great dedication and commitment to his Air Force assignments and retired as a Master Sergeant. After retirement he was a passionate model railroader and his enthusiasm for the hobby allowed him to make many friends across Arizona. He was a very committed and caring family man. He lived with the daily challenges of diabetes for 42 years. He is survived by his son, Steven Snow of Desert Hills, AZ and his wife, Kimberly; as well as by his daughter, Pamela Armendariz of Pearland, TX and her husband, Aaron along with two grand-daughters, Kayleigh and Rebecca Armendariz. He is also survived by his brother, William Snow of Palmyra, VA and his sister, Judy Haines of Putnam, CT. Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Pantano Baptist Church, 225 S. Pantano Road with military honors and burial following at East Lawn Cemetery, 5801 E.
