Elke Elisabeth Johnson Age 67 of Tucson, Arizona Passed Away November, 17, 2013, after a long fight against cancer. Elke was born on June 21, 1946 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She is survived by her son Thomas Johnson and his wife Bernay and sons Brandon, Matthew and Garrett Johnson; her daughter Tammy Kass and her husband Gregory and sons Bryan and Stephen Kass; and her daughter Michelle Johnson and her partner Regina Harris. Also her sister Doris Deschler, her husband Robert a their sons Daniel and Patrick Deschler. Elke is preceded in death by her husband Buford T. Johnson. Services will be held on Saturday, November 23 at Bring's Funeral Home. A private family viewing will be held from 11:00-12:00. Viewing for friends and family will be held from 12:00-1:00. A memorial service will begin at 1:00. Following the service, friends and family are encouraged to celebrate her life at her home. Elke was an amazing woman, who loved with all her heart. She loved her family deeply, including her three dogs Brandy, Molly and Abbey. She battled her disease with every ounce of her strength, even to the last day. Whether we call her mom, Oma, Sissy or friend, we will all miss her terribly.
