JOHN PAUL MIEDING

John Paul Mieding, age 62, loving husband, amazing dad, devoted son, kind sibling, caring neighbor, and hard worker went to be in the presence of the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Bullhead City, Arizona. John was born and raised in a suburb of Los Angeles. He graduated with a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and became a registered Professional Engineer. He held various positions at Borg Warner Industrial Products, where he was involved with the design, installation and operation of pumps, valves and piping systems used in commercial and nuclear power plants, naval propulsion systems, industrial and chemical plants, and refineries. John and his wife Robynne relocated to Bullhead City in 1994 to pursue a business opportunity, and found a community rich in history, recreational opportunities, and populated with extraordinary people committed to their community. The quality of life afforded in Bullhead City represented a perfect place to raise their family. John was employed by the Mohave County, Public Works Division, where he was the Facilities Manager. He recently was appointed to the Bullhead City Council where he utilized his experience in both public and private sectors in matters that kept Bullhead City on a path toward a bright future. As a business owner and community member, he had been active in multiple City and non-profit organizations, both locally and regionally. His hobbies included spending time with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, family, flying, and restoring old cars. He is survived by his wife, Robynne; children, James (Candace), Katie, Joseph (Rochelle), and Jacob; grandchild, Emmett; parents, John and Catherine; in-laws, James and Susan Whiting; siblings, Martha (Mike), Kevin, Ginny (Jason), Katie (Marty), and David (Stacey). John was an excellent example of a good and faithful servant for the Lord. He loved his family deeply and showed genuine interest in their lives. We will miss his corny jokes, kind heart, and wonderful sense of humor. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 starting at 1:00 p.m. AZ Time at Mohave Valley United Methodist Church, 1593 E. Lipan Blvd. Fort Mohave, AZ. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the Memorial Service commencing at 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to honor and celebrate John's life are welcomed to attend. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements handled by Desert Lawn Funeral Home.
