December 7th, 1942 - May 29th, 2020
Lake Havasu City, AZ - Gladys Lynne Fox (Lynne), 77, died on Friday, May 29, 2020 at home. She was born on December 7, 1942 in Ulysses, Kansas the daughter of Gerald Guy and Esther (Withrow) McGillivray. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Fox, on August 14, 1960 who survives and lives in Lake Havasu City, AZ. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this August. Lynne grew up in Ulysses, KS, and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1960. She and Jim moved to Hays where she took some college courses and they began their family. When Jim graduated and became a band teacher, they moved to Rolla and then to Dighton where they lived for nearly 50 years. In 2016, they moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ to enjoy the warmer weather. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dighton and was involved in ladies' bridge club. She and Jim were also part of a group of friends that met each month to share a meal. They loved their "Supper Club" and the many years they had with those dear friends. She worked for many years at the school district in Dighton - grade school secretary, high school secretary and Clerk of the Board until her 2005 retirement. She was faithful to attend all of her daughters' activities whether it was a concert, a recital, or a sporting event. She is survived by her husband, Jim of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Jill and Daniel Olsen of Lake Havasu City; daughter Robin and Kevin Oxborrow of Reno, NV; brother Mont and Kathleen McGillivray of Bella Vista, AR; Sister-in-law Marsha McGillivray of Goodland, KS; six grandchildren - Emily Olsen, Abby Olsen, Danika VanDusen, Karlyn Woody, Madison Oxborrow and Bailey Oxborrow; and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers - Doug, Don and Kayo; and sister - Sally. Per Lynne's request, there will be no service, but memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Havasu at hospicehavasu.org. Condolences may be posted at Mohave Memorial at mohavememorial.com.
