In Loving Memory of Carly Ferguson:
A mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend, Carly was loved and appreciated by many.
She was born on April 8, 1944, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, the daughter of Bev Rogers and Gerry VanValkenburg.
With her children by her side, holding her hands, their heavy hearts bid farewell to her on October 19, 2023.
Carly lived a life filled with travel, adventure, and the loving nurturing of her children and grandchildren. Her love knew no bounds, and her devotion to her family was unwavering, shaping the lives of those she held dear with tenderness and care. She left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will forever resonate within our hearts.
Carly's life was full of love, ambition, and resilience. She had a deep passion for music, which added another layer of beauty to her life. Whether it was John Denver, Neil Diamond, or George Winston, music was a constant source of joy and inspiration for her. She found solace and delight in the melodies that accompanied her journeys and the harmonies that filled her home.
Her passion for gardening reflected her nurturing spirit. She poured her heart and soul into cultivating vibrant blooms and lush greenery, creating a sanctuary of tranquility and beauty for all who visited. Whether it was the delicate petals of a rose or the hearty leaves of a tomato plant, her yard was a testament to her love of nature in all its forms.
But beyond her green thumb, Carly will be remembered most for her boundless kindness and selflessness. Her giving nature knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of many with her gentle words, warm embraces, delicious baked goods, and acts of compassion. She possessed an innate ability to uplift those around her, offering solace in times of sorrow and spreading joy with her infectious smile.
She leaves a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire us all. Though she may no longer walk among us, her presence will forever be felt in the gentle breeze that rustles through the leaves and the laughter of her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandson Noah.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
Rest in peace, dear Carly….You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
