Robert Allen Bradford

Robert Allen Bradford (79), ladies’ man, dapper fella and a child of God, passed away peacefully in Sacramento, California on Saturday October 12th. Born September 3rd, 1940 in Jonesborough, LA to Roy Poland and Jerlene Bradford. Robert grew up in Jonesborough, LA and moved to California in the late 60’s. He worked at many different jobs over his lifetime but spent most of his working years as an auto wrecker. Robert was always there to help his friends and family. He enjoyed working on cars and listening to jazz Survivors include his children Claudius Bradford, Robert Bradford, Jr, Louis Monte’ McGuire, Artnelius Cortez Bradford, Torrie Bradford, James Wallace, the grandchildren he helped raise Allen and Oneisha and Bradford, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His siblings, Dale Bradford, Carrie Heard, Therman Bradford, John Bradford, Laura Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Oletha and siblings Roy Poland, Mary A Evans, Billy Ray Poland, Carrie Bradford, wives Eddie Mae and Mary. A special thank you to the staff at Riverbend Nursing home in Sacramento for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Affordable Cremation and Funeral Services and Darrell Collins of the Collins Resource Center for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time Homecoming services will be held November 2nd, 2019 at the Collins Center, 3427 Rio Linda Blvd, Sacramento at 3pm. The memorial service will be officiated by Dr. Don Carter. The family would like to invite you to a lite dinner following the service.
