Gloria graduated from Libby High School in Toledo, Ohio. She married Norwood Taylor in 1951 and they had four children: Joseph, Roxie, Kim and Shawn. When Rossford Army Depot closed, Norwood chose the Sacramento Army Depot for his job transfer and in 1965 the family moved to Sacramento, CA. Shortly thereafter, Gloria had her fifth child; Lorraine. Gloria resided in Sacramento for close to 54 years. Thankful for the job opportunities in the west, Gloria worked at the Sacramento Army Depot from which she retired after 25 years. In addition her Federal service, Gloria worked in private industry another 10 years as a cook for the Merryhill School. Gloria was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church for many years. Because of her outstanding work in the church, in 2005 Gloria was voted Woman of the Year. She was dedicated to her work as CCD Coordinator and Teacher, member of the Alter Society, and member of the church choir. She loved going to church each day after she retired. She also enjoyed bridge and playing cards and regularly attended her aerobics class at the Pannell Center in South Sacramento. Energetic and lively, she loved music and she loved to dance.
