Fay Tinnie Ward

Fay Ward A memorial service for Fay Ward, 68, of Gridley, will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Gridley, CA on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Fay passed away on April 4, 2008 at the hospital in Gridley. She was born on October 14, 1939 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Barak and Florice Barnum. Fay attended school in Carrizozo, New Mexico. She worked for twenty-seven years as a waitress and owned her own cleaning business. Fay was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and prior to her illness she was a volunteer with the Gridley Gleaners. She loved to garden, fish, camp and go hunting with her family. Survivors include her son, Melvin Ward, Jr. of Corning, CA; daughter, Roberta Fay Ward of Gridley; granddaughter, Rebecca (George) Bumgarner of Fountain, CO; grandson, Melvin Ward III of Vacaville, CA; brother, Charles (Janet) Barnum of Sparks, NV; two sisters, Shirleen (Homer Dale) McDaniel of Titusville, FL and May (Mac) McLaurin of Richlands, NC; one great grandson, Jacob Bumgarner; and sixteen nieces and nephews. Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ward; son, Buddy Ward; daughter, Kathy Ward; brother, Barak Glen Barnum and her parents. Private burial will take place at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
