Ronald John Whitehill

Ronald John Whitehill passed away peacefully in his home on January 11, 2018. Ron was born on August 19, 1942 to Margaret Mae (Beery) and John Wesley Whitehill (deceased). Ron graduated from Chico High School in 1960. He Joined the Navy and proudly served his country until 1964. He then attended Butte College where he graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts in 1970. He worked as Safeway Produce Manager for 23 years and then worked part-time for LifeTouch Photography officially retiring in 2009. Ron loved camping, traveling and fishing with his family and friends. He was a devout Catholic and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Benicia order. He is preceded in death by his Father John Ronald Whitehill, He was married twice producing 5 children. (Kathleen Rita Johnson) - Suzanne (Suzie) Marie (Mario Amantite), Loretta (Lodie) Ann (Mike Dunlap), Sean Ronald Clark (Cindy). (Mary E.) Jackie Sollie) - Margaret (Peggy) Elaine Lucille Penton and Sara Michelle Whitehill. His grandchildren are Chantelle Rose (John Limnios) , Marcus Luigi Amantite; Ryan Michael and Tyler Matthew Dunlap; and Kevin Andrew Clark (Jenna); Seth Danial Penton, and Sydney Shayne Slade. Ron also has 4 great-grandchildren Yanni Richard and Serafina Rose Limnios; Mila Rae Clark and Shayne Lavelle is due any day. Ron is preceded in death by his father and sister Barbara Parker (Tami Parker and Bobby Parker). He is survived by his mother, Margaret Mae who has just had her 97 birthday. Kathleen also had 2 more children Bobby Amen Clark who passed away last year and our sister, Heather Shariff Cooper who has a daughter Kiara Kathleen. Ron also loved them very much as well. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Paradise Cemetery, Paradise, California.
