Frances Mae Smigle
February 23rd, 1921 - July 26th, 2012
Frances Mae (Moody) Smigle was born on February 23, 1921 in Alderpoint, California. She passed away on July 26, 2012. Frances had ten siblings and was raised in the Humboldt County area. On April 30, 1938 she married Benedict Louis Smigle in Eureka. She lived in the Napa and Sonoma areas for most of her married life. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Paradise, CA in 1999 to be near her daughter. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church for thirteen years. Survivors include her sister, Hazel Morgan of Sacramento; daughter, Judith Klaves of Paradise; sons, Calvin Smigle of Sacramento and Howard Smigle of Alberta, Canada; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and step grandchildren, Aaron and Tony Klaves. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012, 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 6404 Pentz Road in Paradise. A luncheon will follow in the church parish hall.
