Billy Mack Jones
December 18th, 1939 - August 28th, 2015
Billy Mack Jones was born December 18, 1939, in Livingston, Texas, to Jasper and Willie Mae Jones. Billy was the youngest of four brothers (all deceased): Dewey, Ralph, and Dwight. At a young age he moved to southern California to cowboy for the Irvine Land and Cattle Company and later for the Sway Ranch in Santa Maria, California. In 1960 and for most of his life he worked in the lathe and plastering trade. In 1973, he moved his family to Chico, California, and built his home in nearby Durham where he resided until his death. He was active in the Durham Saddle Pals and the Butte County Mounted Sheriff's Posse where he made many good friends and some of his best memories. He was a member of the Durham Community United Methodist Church and loved his church family.
