Daniel J. Rawlings, Sr. A private family service will be held for, Daniel James Rawlings, Sr., 83, of Oroville; formerly of Paradise for over 37 years. He passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Oroville Hospital. Daniel was born on April 17, 1924 in Trent, Texas to Daniel and Zenette Rawlings. Daniel worked for over sixty years as a carpenter, working in commercial construction; he was very proud of the 50-year pin he received from the Carpenter’s Union. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Daniel is survived by his two daughters, Julie Abernathy (Rusty) of Stockton and Robin Tygart (Paul) of Paradise; his son, Dan Rawlings (Linda) of Oroville; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nephew, Dan Meiszinger; niece, Teenie Wynne and great niece, Bonnie Sunby. Daniel will be buried at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, California. Arrangements are under the direction of Affordable Mortuary, condolences may be sent online at www.affordablemortuary.net.
