Dorothea Alice McDermont

Dorothea A. McDermont, 82, of Chico, California entered into God’s blessed eternity on February 8, 2011. Beloved wife for sixty-three years of Lloyd McDermont. Born in Owen County on February 14, 1928 to Merle and Alice Kay. She grew up in Worthington, Indiana. She graduated from Worthington High School Class of 1946. Living in California for the last fifty-nine years, she still has friends and acquaintances in the Worthington area. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Richard Kay. She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd and three loving children, Deborah, Michael and Eva. She is also survived by her sister, Marie of Florida and brothers, Jack and Don of California. She had four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held by her family later. She will be buried in the Worthington Cemetery, there to await her husband.
