Sharon Elayne Pritchard

Sharon Elayne Pritchard, 68, of Felton, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Services honoring Ms. Pritchard will be held at the San Lorenzo Valley L.D.S. Church (9545 Love Creek Road, Ben Lomond, CA. 95005) on Saturday, August 25, 2018 Beginning at 11:00 a.m. Sharon was born in Albany, California on January 20, 1950 to Theodore & Gertrude (Hogan) Wendel. She graduated Albany High School with the class of 1968, and went on to work for Mattel Toys and multiple electronic companies, including Zentel, Plantronics & Everett Charles Technologies. At 54, Sharon was accepted into the nursing program at Cabrillo College, where she excelled, graduating with the R.N. class of 2007. Her passion for helping others was evident; she was devoted, caring and compassionate with each of her patients. She has worked at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, Louisiana, Pacific Coast Manor, Central Coast VNA in Monterey, CA., and the Santa Cruz V.N.A. where she ended her career. Sharon was a true movie buff and an amazing scrabble virtuoso. She also enjoyed watching baseball, plays, reading and enjoyed live music. She was also phenomenal in the kitchen, and was known for baking delightful pies. Above all else, Sharon was a devoted, thoughtful and loving mother, grandmother, friend and caretaker. Sharon was predeceased by her father, Theodore Wendel; mother, Gertrude Hogan; brother, Robert Wendel; sister, Regina Wendel, and son, Casey Lee Pritchard. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Brandy Elayne (Pritchard) Thomas; son, Joshua Lee Pritchard; and granddaughter, Annessa Elayne Pritchard; she is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.
