Audrey Naomi Williams
April 13th, 1932 - December 7th, 2018
Tribute Audrey Naomi (Morrison) Williams, passed away December 7,2018 during heart surgery in Boulder Colorado. Audrey was born on April 13, 1932 in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania to Kenneth and Martha (Howell) Morrison. She grew up with her beloved younger brother Thomas, surrounded by many loving aunts and uncles. Audrey married her one and only love, Charles Frederick Williams in Johnson City, New York on April 10, 1954. Chuck preceeded her in death in 1991, and Audrey remained devoted to him the rest of her life. Audrey is survived by her five children: Dennis Williams (Roni), Lory Hepp (Chuck), Becky Snyder (Everett), Naomi Williams (Bill Gehringer), and Chuck Williams (Aline DePaemelaere Coonrod). Audrey is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved unconditionally and very much. Audrey is further survived by her sister-in-law, Irene Glindmeyer and multiple nieces and nephews. In August of 1965, Chuck and Audrey made the move from New York to Colorado in a station wagon with their kids; aged 6 months to 10 years. They settled in Niwot, where Audrey was a stay-at-home Mom for many years. When her youngest child was older, she went to work as a librarian at NOAA in Boulder where she retired in 1997. Audrey made life-long friends in Colorado; many she had for more than half a century. With those friends, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards and softball. In her golden years, Audrey enjoyed traveling with friends and family; visiting places such as Alaska, Hawaii, Scotland, Croatia and Canada. Closer to home, when she said she was going “up the hill”, we knew she and her friends were headed to Black Hawk for a day of fun! Above all else, Audrey enjoyed spending as much time as she could with all of her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Holidays were especially important to her, to gather family together. She made a point of visiting with each one of us to inquire what was happening in each of our lives, and she made sure to interact with the littlest ones. Because of the love for her family, Audrey developed a keen interest in genealogy. She built a good foundation for us to carry on. In addition to her loving husband, Audrey is preceeded in death by her parents, brother, and afore-mentioned aunts, uncles and cousins. Your browser does not support this video format.
