Lillian MayRose Gangloff

A committal ceremony will take place on July 23, 2021 for Lillian Gangloff who passed away peacefully just one month prior to her 93rd birthday. Born in Santa Cruz, she felt truly blessed to live a long and happy life surrounded by the ones she loved. Lillian worked as a waitress and then became manager at the Ideal Fish Restaurant on the Wharf in Santa Cruz from the early 1960’s through the 1970’s. She was a very accomplished cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and relatives with wonderful meals that she prepared. Cherished memories of holiday celebrations at her home will continue to be shared by her family. The spring and summertime were never complete without Lilian’s Easter egg hunts, swimming and barbeques and seeing her beam at watching her beloved family grow and prosper. Lillian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin Jr. and Pamela Gangloff; her foster son, Thomas Loizzo; her Grandchildren: Michele (Don) Broadway, Melissa Gangloff, Miles (Gwen) Gangloff, Marcelle (Adrian) Escobar, Michael (Rachel), Gangloff, and Farrah Gangloff and Alfredo Wright. She also leaves her Great Grandchildren Andrew (Kira) Gomez, Regina Gangloff, Shei Tomacder, Nicholas Silga, Donnie Broadway Jr., Elijah Hunt, Trestan (Paolina) Peacock, Gabriella, Jason, and Vincent Gangloff, Genevieve, Cerafina, and Valentina Gangloff, Bailey, Kallie, and Rylie Gangloff, and Asia Broadway. She also leaves her Great Great Grandchildren: Delilah and Willow Silga, Devin Tomacder, Daniel Gomez, and Everlee Broadway. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Marvin Gangloff Sr.; her son Michael Gangloff; and great grandson Tevyn Gangloff. She will be laid to rest with a graveside ceremony on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Holy Cross Cemetery (2271 7th Ave. Santa Cruz) beginning at 2:30 p.m.
