Alice Jane Hayes

Alice J. Hayes Alice J. Hayes a long time resident of Napa passed away Thursday August 5, 2010 at a Sonoma, California convalescent hospital. She was 80. Alice was born July 29, 1930 in Newman, California. She was the daughter of John and Belmira (Gonsalves) Pacheco. She grew up in Newman and was a graduate of Oris Stimba High School. Alice worked as an executive secretary for AAA Insurance Company for 35 years and has resided in Napa since 1958. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister who loved time with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling. She is survived by her sons, Larry Hayes and his wife, Janice of Napa and Robert Hayes and his wife Helen of Watsonville; her brother, Dan Pacheco and his wife Sue of Soquel; three sisters, Mary Vieira of Corralitos, Aileen Miner of Aptos and Edwina Edmondson of Watsonville; She is also survived by two grandsons, Ron Hayes of Elk Grove and Dan Hayes of Santa Rosa and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, Hecker Pass Rd, Watsonville, CA, Today at 5:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel.
