John Ernest Easton died of heart failure while riding his mountain bike on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016. The son of Edward and Juliana Easton, John was born in Los Angeles on June 6, 1958. He grew up in Hacienda Heights, graduating from Los Altos High School. He went on to receive a BS in Mathematics from UCLA where he met and married Marian Wolff. They lived for many years in Playa Del Rey until relocating to Vashon, Washington and raised their two boys, Robert and Franklin. John worked in Computer Science programming for scientific, aerospace and various leading edge technology companies. Separated for the past 8 years, John lived in the Bay Area and was active in off road bicycling. His son, Robert, died last year. He is survived by his wife Marian, son Franklin, brother Jim and sister Julianne Maki. A Celebration of Life will be held in his remembrance on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Zwierlein Picnic Area in Huddart Park, Woodside, California.
