Judith Anne Ratto
February 19th, 1946 - January 2nd, 2018
Judith Anne Ratto February 19, 1946 – January 2, 2018 A private committal at sea will take place for long time Citrus Heights resident, Judith Ratto, who passed away peacefully at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael. Born to William Ratto and Mary Rauh Ratto in San Francisco, she was 71 years old. Judith was raised in San Carlos and graduated from San Carlos High School class of 1964. Upon completing her studies at College of San Mateo, Judy first worked as a Dental Assistant, then moved on to working as a legal secretary for many years. Her brother and sister, and their families will always cherish the memories of Judith's younger years, and the beauty and style that she possessed. What most do not know about Judy is that she was clearly the brightest of the three children, a talented artist, and had a penchant for telling you the truth no matter the consequences. Judy always enjoyed coming to Santa Cruz to visit her family. She especially enjoyed the times she and her niece, Gena, would go to Seabright Beach and swim in the ocean, or go on one of their many adventures, and to this day, no one knows who was the instigator of such adventures. Although Judy's life was not all she had hoped for, she lived it on her own terms and was fiercely independent, even at the time of her death. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill Bailey of Santa Cruz, her brother, William Ratto of Santa Cruz, her loving nieces and nephew; Alicia Bailey, B.J. Bailey (Jasmine), and Gena Rose Ratto, her beloved Aunt Helen, numerous cousins, and her roommate and dear friend, Kenneth Smith, who treated her with kindness and respect in her final years. For this, the family wishes to thank him for bringing joy to Judy's life. She was also very excited to become a Great Aunt to BJ and Jasmine's baby boy due next month. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husbands, Rudy Troya and Larry Price. Her loved ones will say their farewells with a committal in Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz after the birth of her great nephew. Judith loved animals, especially her dog, Geno, and any kind acts of charity can be made to your local SPCA. If you would like to leave your thoughts and reflections with her family, please visit the Benito and Azzaro homepage.
