Anne Krieger

Anne Goldszer Krieger passed away peacefully on April 5, 2015 at her home in Santa Cruz, CA. surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 6, 1918 in Szczycociny, Poland; moving to Pittsburgh at the age of 5. She was raised on the North Side, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, earning her degree in Social Work. Anne married the love of her life Dr. Louis Krieger, and raised her 3 daughters. Anne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a proud Pittsburgh resident for more than 87 years. She was an active member of the Jewish community, including Hadassah, Technion, and Temple Sinai. She moved to Santa Cruz, California to be with her daughters in 2013. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Louis Krieger, her daughter, Karol Krieger Hays, and her brother, Dr. Louis Goldszer. She is survived by her daughters, Patti Krieger, Claudia Miller (Daniel), and grandchildren, Satya Louisa Miller, Jesse Tas Hays (Tracy Kroul); her great grandson Maxwell Louis Hays, and her sister-in-law, Beatrice Bicky Goldszer and her 3 sons and their families.
