Michael Barry Espinosa
January 22nd, 1968 - January 6th, 2017
Michael Barry Espinosa passed away unexpectedly at his home in Aptos at the age of 48. He was born January 22, 1968 in Santa Cruz where he grew up and attended local schools. Michael worked for a number of years as a deck hand on commercial fishing boats. Always willing to help anyone in need, he developed a large circle of close friends. He later began working as a tile setter. He created many beautiful projects over the course of his career. He was an avid sports fan, but his greatest love was hunting and fishing. "Huntin, Fishin, Lovin Everyday". That was Mike!!! He is survived by his father, Barry Espinosa of Felton; his mother, Carole Costabile of Aptos; brother, Eric Espinosa of Santa Cruz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA on Friday Jan. 20, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project, P.O. Box 417, Davenport, CA 95017.
