Kristopher Lawrence Plummer

Staff Sergeant Kristopher Lawrence Plummer was born on August 24, 1982 on Hill Air Force base near Layton, Utah. He joined the military on September 5, 2002, attending Basic Combat training at Fort Benning, Georgia and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Rucker, Alabama where he attained the Military Occupational Specialty 15P - Aviation Operations Specialist. His first duty station was Young San, South Korea. Next, SSG Plummer then went to Fort Drum, New York where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Then he was assigned to Fort Wainwright, Alaska serving as the flight operations Non-commissioned Officer in charge. He was later assigned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he deployed multiple times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. SSG Plummer was next assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado where he served as an Aviation Operations Non-commissioned Officer. His most recent assignment was at Fort Eustis, Virginia where he volunteered for a recent deployment to Afghanistan attached to Task Force Ready from May 2017 to April 2018. SSG Plummer's awards and decorations are: the Army Commendation Medal (8 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (3 Campaign Stars), Irag Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Medal, Army Service Ribbon, the Senior Aviation Crew Member badge, and Drivers Badge. His Professional Military Education includes the Basic Leaders Course, Commandant's List; Advanced Leaders Course, Distinguished Honor Graduate; and he is also a graduate of the Senior Leaders Course. Spring of 2018, Kristopher graduated Cum Laude with an Associate's Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle University. Kristopher is survived by his wife Melissa and her two daughters, Shelby and Cheyenne, his parents Larry and Bonnie, sister Erin, and brother Alan.
