Margaret Jenny Milnes

At her request, no services are to be held for Margaret Milnes who passed away peacefully in Santa Cruz at the age of 93. Born in the Netherlands, she was very proud of her Dutch heritage. Margaret was an outstanding cook and accomplished baker. Her family will cherish the memories of the wonderful meals she prepared with traditional Dutch treats and sweets for desert. She championed for her family in many different ways, and will be forever loved. Margaret moved to Santa Cruz 75 years ago, and for more than 65 years, worked as a sales clerk for Leask's Department Store, and retried with Gottschalks at age 72. She will be remembered as a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves many loving friends and caregivers at Capitola Manor where she was a resident of the past 10 years. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Richard Giovannoni and Pat and Spencer Fralick. She also leaves her beloved five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
