Macrina Jauregui Perez
May 17th, 1922 - January 18th, 2013
Macrina J. Perez passed away peacefully at her home on Friday January 18, 2013 surrounded by family. She was born and raised in Agualeguas, Mexico, where she met her husband of 65 years Reynaldo R. Perez. They moved to Davenport, CA in 1950 where they raised their children and created many lifelong friends. She worked for John Ingalls cannery in Santa Cruz for 15 years. She was well known for her generosity and willingness to help others in need. She loved her family, raising her children and grandchildren brought her true joy. Her home was always open to family and friends and was always full of food, fun and laughter. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family. She and her husband also enjoyed raising livestock together. She always enjoyed going back to Mexico to visit her siblings and remained very close to them. Her family will always cherish the many memories and family trips together. She taught her children and grandchildren the importance of family values. She is reunited in death with her soul mate Reynaldo R. Perez, her sons Ricardo and Filo Perez, and her grandson Scott Perez. She is survived by her daughter Maria Olivas and her husband Marcos, her son Rey Perez and his wife Nancy, her son Joe Perez and his wife Kathleen, her daughter Kiki Acevedo and her husband Adan, her daughter Mini Cazares and her husband Ernesto, her brother Elizando Jauregui and his wife Hermila, her sisters Enriqueta Gonzales, Hermelinda Gonzales, Obdulia Gonzales and Maria de Lourdes Villareal, her grandchildren Amanda, Marcos, Joey, Royce, Carlos, Reynaldo, Alicia, Dana, Nicole, Jessie, Anthony, Abraham and 14 great grandchildren, as well as her extended family, Jose and Maria Ramos, Frankie Olimpio, Tina Olimpio, Fay Hilt and many more close friends and family. A mass was held in her name at St Vicente De Paul Church in Davenport on Monday January 21st. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Davenport Resource Center 150 Church St Davenport, CA 95017, Hospice of Santa Cruz County 940 Disc Drive Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or St Vicente De Paul Church 123 Marine View Ave Davenport, CA 95017.
