Scott Kenneth Brunton

Services will be held on Saturday for Scott Brunton who died Sunday evening in Santa Cruz; a victim of a drunk driver. He was 34 years old. Scott was born in Santa Cruz, attended West Lake Elementary, and Mission Hill Jr. High School, and graduated from Santa Cruz High School. He was a talented automobile mechanic, and leaves many dear friends and colleagues from Central Coast Four Wheel Drive, Toyota of Santa Cruz and in the local automobile, 4-Wheelers and motorcyclist circles whose friendships he cherished. He loved his job and could fix or ride just about anything on wheels. Scott was a fan of hockey and followed the San Jose Sharks. He was also an accomplished dirt biker as well, and enjoyed shooting pool and talking shop with friends. Dave and his son Scott also loved trains and working on them together (and we are talking the big diesel engines). Many fond memories will always be cherished of his love for driving his truck, "The Green Goblin" and the many trips to the dunes of Pismo Beach. Scott's charismatic style and ability to light a room with his smile and larger then life personality will be deeply missed, and not soon to be forgotten. He is survived by his Mother and Father, Dave and Laura Brunton of Santa Cruz; his son Coby Scott Brunton and step-son, Casey Weeland both of Santa Cruz; his sister, Sheryl Brunton DaSilva of Las Vegas; and his fiancé Samantha Sines of Santa Cruz, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and extended family. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17th at Peace United Church of Christ (900 High Street in Santa Cruz) beginning at 10 a.m. The burial ceremony will be private. Friends may pay their respects at a visitation on Friday December 16, 2016 from 3 pm until 8 pm at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga Street in Santa Cruz.
