Mary Ann Lupi

Mary Ann Lupi was born to Antonio and Mary Bonacorsi in the Bronx, New York City on December 1, 1928 and passed away peacefully in Granite Bay, CA on April 7, 2016 surrounded by those she loved and will be dearly missed. After spending her childhood years in Mt. Vernon, NY, Mary Ann moved to San Jose, CA where she graduated from Norte Dame High School. After meeting and marrying Armando Lupi, of Rome Italy, in San Marino, she continued to live in San Jose where she raised her family. After 35 years of service with Pac Bell/AT&T, she retired and then worked part time for O’Conner’s Hospital and later the San Jose Mercury News. Mary enjoyed collecting antiques, dolls, gardening, biblical study, the Italian language, and had a particular passion for cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armando Lupi and her brothers Dante Bonacorsi and Frank Bonacorsi. Mary is survived by her son, Steven Lupi; daughter, Christina (Michael) George; grandchildren, Nicole (Darrin) Baker, Bradley (Jenna) Lupi, Christian George, Stevan George, Michaelan George and Gillian George; great-grandchildren, Jayden Lupi, Miles Baker, and Mason Baker; brother, John (Joann) Bonacorsi; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held in her honor on April 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcastle Cemetery, 850 Taylor Road, Newcastle, California.
