She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rose Goodwin, her sister Martha Massengale, and her twin sister, Darlene Anderson. Those left to cherish Chuckies memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Jim McWilliams of Timnath, Colorado, her children and their spouses, Julie Otto and her husband Chris of Fort Collins, Colorado, Scott McWilliams and his wife Mariah of Bayfield, Colorado, her two grandchildren, Paige Otto of Denver, Colorado, Blake Otto of Lawrence, Kansas, extended family, and countless dear friends. Chuckie was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Central High School. She attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she met her husband, Jim, during freshman orientation week. Chuckie graduated with a degree in elementary education, and was an active member of the Alpha Phi sorority. After graduating from college, Chuckie and Jim were married on August 21, 1965. Chuckie was an elementary school teacher for three years in three different cities, when she decided it was time to stay home and raise a family. They welcomed their daughter, Julie and son, Scott, and continued moving around the Midwest until they finally settled in Fort Collins in 1985. Chuckie was involved with Fort Collins Newcomers Club, Fort Collins Service League, and a local PEO chapter. Chuckie enjoyed life full of her many passions, including flower gardening, entertaining guests, cross stitching gifts, spoiling her grand dog Tanner, watching CSU games, soaking up the sun as much as she could, and many years of Bridge games with friends. Chuckie was a spectator extraordinaire and never missed a game or performance from her grandchildren. Jim and Chuckie have traveled extensively to more than 40 countries, including Chuckies favorite, the Tuscan region of Italy. Their most recent trip to Egypt and Israel this past fall were the last two countries on her bucket list. For many years, they spenttime at their mountain cabin in Estes Park, and looked forward to escaping the Colorado winters with cruises to numerous destinations. Those who knew Chuckie knew her as a classy, stylish lady who always dressed to the nines. She loved well and was well-loved. Her strength and wisdom will be remembered and dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
