Amelia Grace Cook, 81, of Auburn, CA, passed away on March 22, 2024. Services will be held on Monday April 29th, at 1:00pm at the Newcastle Cemetery Pavilion in Newcastle, Ca. Amelia was born in Carson City, NV to Ben & Evelyn Olenslager on Nov. 3rd, 1942. Her family settled in Sacramento, CA where she met and married Lowell Cook, the love of her life. She worked for the State of California as a senior level analyst in Telecommunications (IT) for 30+ years before retiring. She enjoyed doing the morning crosswords with Lowell and also enjoyed cooking & baking. She was known by all, especially the grandkids, for her Dirt Cake and would teach them how to make it if the opportunity presented itself. Amelia is preceded in death by Lowell (husband), both her parents and three of her brothers, Jeffery, Stephen, and Kirk. Amelia is survived by her children Corey, Kendalee, Shannon, Marci (Tony) and her fur baby Sam; two brothers, Mark Randall (Teresa), and Scott, 11 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren, whom she loved very much. The family of Amelia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Sutter Care Hospice and Gabby Agosto who helped care for her these last couple of years and grew to love her like a daughter.
