Minh Nguyen

Obituary Minh Mong Nguyen, age 75 of Fort Collins, CO died November 14, 2020. Minh born in Lang Son, Vietnam and was the second of six children. By 1973 he was married to Thien Thi Le in Phuoc Long, Vietnam, they have 3 daughters and 1 son. He served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Republic of Vietnam Military Forces until the Vietnam war ended in 1975. After the war he was sent to a reeducation camp and served there until 1981. When he was released he continued to live with his family in Bao Loc, Vietnam. He learned carpentry skills, and together with his wife they built a house on a small farm owned by family. They raised animals, grew coffee, tea and fruits trees. In June 1992 Minh and his family came to America with the help of a US government program for veteran refugees. Once in America Minh started work at a manufacturing facility making furniture and musical equipment, retiring later in 2011. He loved working with his hands, doing his own home repairs, building custom furniture, and planting many kind of vegetable every summer never forget bittermelon, he like to have homemade "bittermelon tea". Minh had many hobbies such as read books, fishing, watching soccer, and bible study. He is survived by wife Thien Thi Le, four children Minh Anh Nguyen, Lan Anh Delaney (husband Mike Delaney), Phuong Anh Spiegel (husband Matthew Spiegel), Cong Nguyen, four grandchildren Joseph Delaney, Joshua Delaney, Jacob Delaney Maddison Spiegel, brothers Diep M. Nguyen (wife Tinh Nguyen), Lan M. Nguyen (wife Ngoc Nguyen), and sister Thuy T. Nguyen (husband Hung Nguyen, deceased). Minh was preceded in death by his parents Dong Van Nguyen and Ninh Thi Nguyen, brothers Quang M. Nguyen and Long M. Nguyen. Minh will be missed by all those who were close to him. A viewing is scheduled 10am - 1pm Thursday, November 19th, 2020 at Vessey Funeral Service Chapel, 2649 E. Mulberry St., Fort Collins. There will be a graveside service immediately following for friends and family at Roselawn Cemetery, 2718 E. Mulberry St., Fort Collins. Minh Nguyen's graveside service will be livestreamed.
