Robert Harvey
August 24th, 1945
On August 24, 1945 James Harvey Jr and Elnora Harvey of Mason, Tennessee welcomed Robert Lee Harvey into the world. He attended Fayette County Training School in Summerville, Tennessee. In 1963, Robert Lee moved to Salinas, California. He worked for Frank Balen Hay and several other moving companies. Robert Lee was an avid 49ers fan. He was a social butterfly and was always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and close friends. Robert Lee was preceded in death by his parents, James Jr and Elnora Harvey, and his brother Jimmy Dee Harvey. He is survived by his daughters Mercyde Davis of Soledad, Elanor Harvey of Salinas, and son Robert Jones of Salinas; his brothers Henry Tatum of Long Beach, James (Linda) Harvey of Salinas, and sister Dorothy (Charles) Walker of Salinas; grandchildren Antoin Davis, Ashley Day, Aisha Davis, Keiarra Smith, Danielle Davis (Soledad), Covossay Windham, and Zion Jones, all of Salinas; great-grandchildren Jeremiah Robinson, Brent Davis, and Jay’lani Wade all of Salinas; along with a host of family and friends. Robert Lee will be truly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, September 2, 2016 11am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow services at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
