Allen William Boyd, 62, lifelong resident of Salinas valley, passed away on September 23, 2016 at his home in Prunedale. He was born on February 1, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Charasmatic, compassionate, artistic, musical, connector, unconventional, rebel rouser, nurturer, caregiver, lover of life, private, family man. "Allen has left the dance before the end of his song. As per his "M O" there was someother place he had to be. The family he built along the way continues to dance." Allen William Boyd was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Ramona Alice & Allen William Boyd. Allen was the baby of the family. Ramona Klima Vasco got the special privilege of being his one & only sister. Ramona & her sons, Richard Klima & Allen Klima now live in Florida & New York. Raymond Boyd finally received the title of big brother. Ray & his children, Ray Jr., Richard, Cathy, Mary, Teresa & Ramona with all of their spouses & offspring can be found mainly in the Colorado Region. . Allen arrived on the Monterey Penninsula at a young age. It has always been his home. Bruce Jennison and Allen had many adventurous moments growing up together. Shortly after high school & a bit of college, Allen married Marsha. Two amazing children, Cosmo Allen Boyd and Natasha Alicia Root, soon arrived. A young family began. Always loved by dad, the children grew & circumstances changed. Allen & Natasha now have families of their own & live in Northern California. Time passed - - - things changed. Allen & Tanya were married. William Kyle Boyd was born & little Miss Amanda became one of his children. Two amazing children. Allen's family grew. Kyle, Erika and their two children live in the Monterey Area. Amanda and the love her life, Sol, live in Kentucky. During this time Ken & Patti Slater & Jim Jeffries became part of the family always loved by dad. Time passes - -- things changed Allen & Bonnie were married. Little Allison came into Allen's family. Time passes. Dedicated Love, maturing & learning; almost 30 years. Gene Kelley joins the family that grew. All of the family was loved by dad. The family has already held private services which included the blessing of the body, an intimate family dinner, mass at the Carmel Mission and an afternoon of remembrence at the Asilomar Conference Grounds. Without the unconditional love & support of Jim Jeffries, Dominion Partners, Kristi Ellington, Patti & Ken Slater this wave of life would have been unmanageable for the family to ride alone.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
