Hitoshi Kono
April 20th, 1930 - October 22nd, 2016
Hitoshi Kono, lifetime resident of the Monterey Peninsula, passed peacefully at age 86 years old at his home in Pacific Grove, California. Hitoshi was preceded in death by wife, Jean and his brother, George. Hito is survived by sister, Sumi Yakura (Jimmy); sister-in-law Emi Kono; children, Mark Kono (Lien Lam) and Kim Kono (Randy Choy); grandchildren Justin Kwong, Audrey Kono and Zoe Kono; and many nieces and nephews. Hitoshi's career was spent at Daniels and House Construction Firm. A full obituary will be published prior to the Service and Celebration of Life, on Saturday, December 17, 2 p.m., Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple, 1155 Noche Buena St., Seaside, CA.
