She was born August 26, 1970, in Santa Clara, CA, to John Andrew Church and Sonja Gudrun Erickson. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers John Church of Salinas and David Church of Culver City. She attended Salinas High School, graduating in 1989. She also attended Hartnell College and Butte College for a period of time. During her childhood she was an accomplished horseback rider who rode in the Salinas Rodeo Parades. A strong swimmer, she was the only woman on the men's water polo team in high school. She especially enjoyed scuba diving and Monterey Bay. A lover of music, she was also in her church choir. In her adult life, Jenn worked in a number of positions, most notably as a veterinary technician and as an administrative assistant in a variety of businesses, the last being a public accounting firm. From her first marriage with Dan Wayne Griffith she has a son Conor Andrew Griffith. Conor is in the 9th grade in an independent study program through El Puente High School, Salinas. She married Jeffrey Brian Lloyd on December 20, 2007 in Nelson County, VA. From this marriage she has a son, Cadan John Lloyd, aged 6, who is a student at Prunedale Elementary School in Prunedale. She also was very close to and a second mother to Jeffrey's daughter, Jessica Marie Lloyd, who is attending Highland Community College in Wamego, KS. Jenn's passions were her children, her family, music, anything that involved being in, or on, the water, and her pets. A Memorial Service will be held at Monterey Church (401 Alvarado St, Monterey, CA) at 1 PM on December 10, 2016. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA are suggested.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
