Sharon Rae Tackel, 81, of Salinas, passed away on Monday, March 13th, 2017. She was born in Mason City, Iowa on November 10th, 1935. She was a longtime resident of Salinas. Sharon enjoyed the outdoors and looked forward to camping and spending time with family and friends. She was a hard worker and worked for Mervyn’s Department Store in Salinas for many years. Sharon is survived by her sons, Guy Tackel of Salinas and Clarence Tackel of Greenfield; daughters, Kathy Hiezmen of Cloverdale and Ruth Padgett of Salinas; sister, Linda Becker of Denten, TX; many grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her husband, J.F. Tackel. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 1pm at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907. Memorials may be sent to: 255 E Bolivar Space 49 Salinas, CA 93906.
