Margaret Quinn

Obituary Margaret Quinn passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born on April 21st, 1926 to John and Mary (Kapral) Boris in Pen Argyl, PA. Margaret graduated high school in 1943 and received her R.N. degree from Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA in 1947. She entered the U.S. Navy as an Ensign in 1948. Margaret married Howard Thompson while in the service and was discharged from Chelsea Naval Hospital, located in Massachusetts in 1950. She worked at Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis becoming head supervisor on the night shift until 1953. Margaret temporarily retired from nursing to raise 5 children. She moved to Ft. Collins in 1973 and resumed her nursing career. She was divorced from her husband of 25 years in 1974 and became the Director of Nursing at Ft. Collins Health Care (Eventide North) for 11 years. Margaret married Harold (Harry) Quinn in November 1978. She worked in nursing and retired in 1994. Margaret and Harry traveled extensively in Europe, Canada, Mexico and all though 50 states plus 5 cruises. Margaret enjoyed reading, dancing, playing bridge and most of all spending time with her beloved family. She was a member of the Aspen Club, AARP, and the Senior Center. Margaret is survived by 5 children - Lt. Col. Roy (Mary) Thompson, Debra, Ross (Sue), Donna (John) Hoppal, and Rodney(Nadine). She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, brother Richard (Helen) Boris and sister Mary Pysher. Contributions can be made to the church, 1200 S. Taft Hill Rd., for the Youth Group and Building Fund.
