Thelma Jean Brown, 83, longtime resident of Monterey county, passed away on July 28, 2017 at her home in Gonzales. She was born on May 1, 1934 in Oklahoma. She previously worked as a waitress for over 40 years. Thelma Jean is survived by, her daughter, Terri (Tom) Madrid grandchildren, Avrie Calabro (Shane), Lea Madrid Johnson (Aaron) and Thomas F. Madrid (Stacey) great-grandchildren, Cassi, Jaylen, Dylan, Thomas and Olivia also survive. She is preceded in death by, her husband, Fred Brown and her son, Dennis Clark. Cremation and Inurnment of ashes will take place at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Salinas. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
