May 4th, 1929 - August 18th, 2017
Maria De Jesus Cibrian Lopez “MamaGrande”, 88 years old. Our Most Precious Mother, passed away August 18, 2017 in Salinas, CA. She was 1 of 13 siblings and is survived by her brothers Isidro and David Lopez. Mama was born in Navidad, Jalisco. MX, and migrated to the USA at the age of 16. Maria was a devoted mother of 11, Helen Lopez, Gloria Retamoza, George, Raul, Gabriel DeLaPaz (Rosa), Mary Zamora, Anita Torres (Albert), Richard DeLaPaz, Dolores Orozco (Rick) and Veronica Gonzalez (Julio). She was also blessed with 32 Grandkids, 55 Great Grandkids and 5 Great, Great Grandkids. Our mother worked hard in the fields and canneries of Watsonville. She was a business owner and a landlord. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing and she definetly loved playing bingo! One of her many qualities was her generous heart and laughter. She always received you with open arms and many kisses. We are all going to miss her, but will always carry her love within us. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 3 - 9 PM with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 10AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 240 Calle Cebu Salinas, CA 93901. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
