James "JJ" Williams II
September 29th, 1991 - September 30th, 2017
Life Legacy James Ellis Williams II joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday September 30, 2017. His late maternal Grandfather Mr. Armando Guarjardo Ochoa and his late paternal Grandmother Ms. Mabel Lorraine Queen, welcomed him into the beautiful heavenly ever after, as well. James, lovingly nick named and known as "The Big Guy " by his surviving mother Jessica Janie Williams (Longtime partner Jerry Don Jones, both of Salinas, CA. He also survived by his Father James Ellis Williams Sr. Married to Marian Williams, both of Los Banos, CA. Known primarily as "JJ" to many. He excelled in any and all sports, however most enjoyed football and basketball he played for the school and city leagues, football however, was his passion, as much as his looks and his clothes! JJ as a young boy was and continued to be a funny character that enjoyed family and friends. His mother says anything he touched "turned to gold". Proud to be his mother, she holds so many precious memories close to heart and states he will be greatly missed by all. Known to be a very bright young man, he however wanted to be known for his gorgeous looks and his "swagger"! He always had a precious smile and loved his family deeply! Being his father's only biological son/child, James Sr. thought the world of his son, helping him navigate his way thru early adulthood and life as a young adorable boy to becoming a man. Sharing a love together for sports, the two bonded over games and highlights. James Ellis Williams is survived by his maternal biological sisters Samantha Ann Ochoa, Jamie Lorraine Williams and his brother Jeremy Vance Robinson. (All of Salinas, CA) Jeremy whom, by the way, shares an equal passion for sports learned early on by his big brother! James (also lovingly known as BJ to his maternal family) is survived by his Maternal Grandmother Alma Ochoa, wife of the late Armando Ochoa of Modesto & Ontario, CA. Paternal Grandfather Mr. Carles Williams. Of Seaside Ca. An avid golfer the majority of his life Mr. Williams enjoyed spending quality one on one time with his grandson on the golf course when JJ was much younger. Those special memories with his grandparents gave JJ happiness like no other! James Ellis Williams leaves behind a family from both sides so large, we apologize for any missed names! Cousins Ashley & Travis Meamber. Mrs. Amanda (Frank) Lopez of Ontario, CA. Cousins (Lifelong childhood partner in all) Stephen M. Williams, Analiesa Garcia, Isaac A. Ochoa and Ashlyn Lopez. Mrs. Linda (Randy) Stuckey of Medford Oregon. Cousins Stevie Lynn, Lauren, Randi and Nathaniel. Uncle John Ochoa of Salinas,CA. Paternal Auntie Florene Queen of Oceanside, CA. Cousins Chante & Andrew Williams. Mrs. Tonnette (Arthur) Williams of Oceanside,Ca. Cousins Alvin & Tanisha. Auntie Fern Queen & Bobby Wilkenson of Savannah, GA, The Late Auntie Betty (Smitty) Swan. Cousins Arthur and George Swan of Newark, NJ, Auntie Carles Marie Williams, cousins Phyliss, Clifford & Carlton. His Late Auntie Cathy Williams, her daughter's Marie & Patricia. Our precious JJ is also survived by his brother ( by marriage Daniel, sister Nicole Mortari both of Modesto, CA. Also sister by marriage Kayla of Sparks, NV. And Malik Reynolds of Modesto, CA. We also want it to be known that although not by blood he had "Uncles" Reggie Oroboe and Shawn Brooks. Aunties Jerri Oroboe. Brothers bound by friendship since childhood DeVonn and Wayne, little sister Cashe and Auntie Jerri of Salinas, CA. In addition to all his immediate family, James Ellis Williams II aka Big Guy and BJ (baby James) is survived loved and missed deeply by another some 89 2nd and 3rd cousins! May your soul rest in the most beautiful place we all pray to one day walk into, the beautiful gates of Heaven. May you eternally smile walking hand on hand with Papa Ochoa and your Grandmother Mabel Lorraine Queen. We shall forever love and miss you, until we hold one another again, my most precious nephew!!!!! Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 1pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. Cremation to follow services.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
