December 21st, 1927 - July 25th, 2019
Obituary Barbara Jean Bullis was born December 21, 1927 in Galesburg, Illinois. She was raised there by her mother, Ramona Thompson Bullis and her father, Grant Leon Bullis. She grew up with an older brother Tom, whom she loved and respected very much. She left Galesburg to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder. She graduated with a degree in Dietetics. She was a Pi Phi girl and loved her sorority. She met her husband John Clark in the San Francisco Bay area of California. Barbara and John were married for 45 years. John preceded her in death in 1995. Barbara and John have 3 daughters: Christine (Dave) Hunt of Kansas City, MO; Laura (Bob) McClelland of Windsor, CO; and Dana (Nick) Nicolay of Birmingham, MI. Barbara loved her 8 grandchildren: Isaac McClelland, Allison (McClelland) McDowell, David Hunt Jr., Daniel Hunt, Jr., Daniel Hunt, Nathaniel Hunt, Benjamin Hunt, Sarah (Nicolay) Kagan and Peter Nicolay, and her 14 great grandchildren. Barbara was a woman of faith who served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, faithfully. Her faith took her on many travel journeys including 17 trips to Israel. She loved conducting bible studies, shopping, her family and anything to do with the outdoors. Barbara will always be remembered for her hospitality. She hosted elegant dinner parties, birthday events for her grandchildren, and countless family outings at their lake front home in Michigan. Barbara passed peacefully at Seven Lakes Memory Care Facility in Loveland, Colorado on July 25, 2019. She will be greatly missed.
