Dennis Goodwin

Obituary Dennis Patrick Goodwin, age 60 of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at his home. Dennis was born in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, May 12, 1959 to Harold H. and Elinor Grace (McClellan) Goodwin. He was a well-educated man, who earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Business Administration. Dennis worked as a project manager for Trane Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri where he managed major commercial building jobs. On October 13, 2003, Dennis married Joan Skurat in Maui, Hawaii. When Dennis retired in 2013, the couple made their home in Fort Collins, Colorado in the fall of that year. Dennis enjoyed cycling and hiking on the front range. He also spent several beautiful afternoons on area golf courses. Dennis also loved to read and would spend time catching up on the news. He had a wonderful sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with Dennis around. There were never any awkward silences around Dennis. He was the kind of guy that never let anything stop him, and was always determined to figure out a solution or a way to help. Dennis is preceded by his parents. He is survived by his wife Joan; sister: Sally A. (Steve) Fairchild of Watertown, WI; brother: John (Pam) Goodwin of Machesney Park, IL; nieces: Kelly (Brian) Zick, Caroline "Carly" (Dan) Zaeske, Melissa (Ron) Turner; and great-niece and nephew: Benjamin Zick and Emily Zick.
