Jerry Pippin
October 9th, 1937 - February 26th, 2019
Obituary Jerry Dean Pippin was born October 9, 1937 in Artesia, California, to Joseph and Belva Pippin. At a young age, he made the decision to follow Jesus. He joined the Air Force when he was 17 years old and served for five years. He married the love of his life, Virginia, in Spokane, Washington, in June of 1959. They moved to Southern California in 1960 and raised four children. He had a long career as a truck driver, and kept very busy participating in various musical groups. He played the piano for Florence Avenue Foursquare Church for 37 years, and then shortly thereafter, they moved to Loveland, Colorado and became the PrimeTimers (seniors) Directors at Timberline Church in Fort Collins. Jerry loved puzzles and woodworking, and he was an accomplished pianist. His life was greatly enriched by many friends. They enjoyed entertaining in their home. His greatest joy was his family: he is survived by Virginia, his bride of 59 years, daughter Diana Pippin of Columbus, Georgia; son Tim Pippin (Melicent) of Loveland, Colorado; daughter Carrie Kujath (Scott) of Bayfield, Colorado; and Cheri Melton (Brad) of Columbus, Georgia; brothers, Chuck Pippin and Denny Pippin (Sue). Jerry's grandchildren are Bradley (Janelle) Kujath; Scotty Kujath; Andy Kujath; Zachary Kujath; Reagan Melton; Bailey Melton; Jenna Melton; Hunter Miller; Emerson Pippin; as well as numerous close family and friends. Jerry was preceded in his death by his brother, Kenny, and sister, Judy. He passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 26, surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 8, at 4:00 p.m. at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline Road, Fort Collins, Collins.
