Obituary Catherine Elizabeth “Betty” Canter, age 98, died on Thursday, December 20th, 2018. She passed away at his home in Carmel, surrounded by her daughters Denise and Devra and her granddaughter Christine. Betty was born on March 28th, 1920 in Wales, U.K. to Catherine (Evans) and Nathaniel Dix. After completing her secondary education in England, Betty went on and became a model in the fashion houses in London. In 1942, she married Dennis Canter, MD. She is survived by her two daughters, her son Michael and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service for Betty on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at 2pm at the Little Chapel By the Sea in Pacific Grove (65 Asilomar Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty’s name to Hospice of the Central Coast (2 Upper Ragsdale Drive, Suite D120, Monterey, CA 93940) To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Catherine "Betty" Canter, please visit our floral store.
