PHYLLIS D. MARRIOTT April 28, 1923 - Feb. 11, 2011 Phyllis Darlene ("Skip") Marriott was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She raised her son, Larry Feist as a single parent. Her principal occupation was an accounting bookkeeper. She met and married Nolan Eugene Marriott late in life. After retiring from their positions with Lockheed and Dole Pineapple, the couple chose the Paradise area as their home in the late 70's. Skip was active in the Paradise Pines Women's Club and later, The Red Hat Ladies Group. After Gene's death, Skip moved into town. She volunteered with the Alzheimer's Association and the Senior Center. She also served as a volunteer usher for the Paradise Performing Arts Center. Skip saved her money until she could donate enough to the PPAC to be listed as a patron on their wall facing the entry. It was something she was quite proud to have done. Skip had no religious affiliation and requested "No Formal Funeral". The family plans a memorial celebration of her life at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at the Bille Road Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Bldg. (Next door to Paradise Hospice House). No Flowers Please. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paradise Hospice House.
