CLAUDE (BUCK) TYLER LONG May 7, 1926 - Apr. 9, 2011 Claude passed away April 9, 2011 at Oroville Hospital, with the love of his life at his side and listening to Alan Jackson. Claude was born to Clyde and Thelma Long on May 7, 1926. Claude had two sisters, Betty and Doris, and one brother, Herb. Claude leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Wilma; his sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Diana; Bruce and Marjorie; Wayne and Sarah; and Dan and Judy. Also 12 grandkids and 11 great-grandkids and one great-great-grandson. Claude was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, Herb, and his son, Carle. Claude served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. Claude and his family moved to Chico in 1960, when he opened Chico Power Sweeping. He was also employed by CSU, Chico from 1961 to 1989 when he retired. A Celebration of his Life will be held for family and friends at the Burnap Gardens Apts. Clubhouse at Burnap and Lassen Ave. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
