A Funeral for James "Jimmy" Ridenour, 50 of Chico, will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Brusie Funeral Home. Jimmy passed away on December 5, 2011, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on September 2, 1961, in Chico, to Robert and Diane Ridenour. Jimmy graduated from Chico Sr. High with the class of 1979. Jimmy was an avid gardener, and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diane and Jim Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Cindy Ridenour; sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Jeff Salomon; a sister, Marie Ridenour; nieces, and nephews, Katrina (Glen) Robertson, Matt Salomon, Danielle Salomon, and his many friends, especially Penny, Brenda, and John. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Robert, and brother, Bobby Ridenour. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society , in care of the funeral home.
