Anthony Davi

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Anthony Bernard Davi, who passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2017. He was born in Pittsburg, CA to Barney and Ann Davi on July 28, 1938. He spent his youth in Monterey and in Pittsburg, fishing with his father, uncles and cousins. He graduated from Junipero Serra High School in 1956 and attended Monterey Peninsula College, where he played baseball. He spent the majority of his career with the Coca Cola Company, followed by a stint with a local printing company. He was well known to the local sports community, coaching youth baseball and supervising the City of Monterey’s Socko league, which he enjoyed immensely. In 1960, he met and married Maria Luscri, his loving wife of over 57 years. Together they had four children, Victor (Kelly), Anna (Kurt) Dempster, Donnie, Anthony (Jennifer). He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Christina, Victoria, Kole, Michael, Domeniq, Luke and Jake. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Ann Davi, and sister Rosine Davi. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at San Carlos Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to: Gateway Center, 850 Congress Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA 93950.
