James D. Goble
October 1st, 1947 - July 27th, 2016
James D. Goble of Yuba City, California, died on July 27, 2016. Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laura; his daughter, Carrie Goble (Brent Young) of Portland, OR; and his son, John William Goble (Jake); as well as his older brother, Dr. Jay A. Goble of San Ramon, CA, and numerous Goble and Dinsmore family aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Garvin G. and Margaret E. Goble and his younger brother, John C. (Jack) Goble of Windsor, CA. Jim was born in Scotia, CA, on October 1, 1947, and was raised in Fortuna in Humboldt County. He graduated from Fortuna Union High School, Humboldt State College and UCLA. Jim spent over 40 years in the electrical wholesale business and retired from Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) in 2013. He was a life member of the Redding Elks Lodge #1073, a 25 year member of Dingville Duck and Social Club, a bronze benefactor of California Waterfowl, a member of Ducks Unlimited President's Council, and a heritage sponsor of Ducks Unlimited. Per his wishes, a private service will be held at a future date. Donations in his memory may be made to Ducks Unlimited (Dingville Chapter), 12755 Garden Highway, Yuba City, CA, 95991; California Waterfowl, 1346 Blue Oaks Blvd., Roseville, California, 95678; or to a charity of your choice .
