Roy Lee Van Tassel, 58, was born February 24, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA to Stanley D. Van Tassel and ImaJean Walker. He was a lifelong resident of the Yuba-Sutter area. He passed away February 9, 2017. Roy enjoyed working on cars, camping, fishing, laughing and making others laugh, and barbecues with family and friends. Above all, he enjoyed a Budweiser and riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his brother Stanley D. Van Tassel Jr., a sister Terry J. Derryberry, 10 children: Kristy Van Tassel, Roy Van Tassel Jr., Tony Van Tassel, John Van Tassel, Andy Van Tassel, Perry Van Tassel, Sammie Van Tassel, Wayne Thompson, Monica Thompson- Lukens, Rebecca Galvan, 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Service will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620. Services to follow afterward at American Legion Hall, 5477 Feather River Blvd, Olivehurst, CA 95961. It is a potluck, bring a dish or two.
