Linda, our little angel, left us and went to heaven on February 19, 2011. She was 54 years old and was born in Salinas on April 24, 1956. Linda is the daughter of the late Baldomero C. Rocha and Erlinda P. Rocha. She was a loving, nurturing and caring person. She adored her family, especially her great nieces and nephews, and her many friends. Linda was known througout the neighborhood, always stopping by her favorite local establishments; Sherwood Care Pharmacy, Taquitos Mexican Restaurant, Evelyn's Salon, and the Aloha Hawaiian Barbecue. She loved her friends dearly, who treated her with kindness, respect, and looked out for her safety. Every friend she encountered, she greeted with, "Hello my friend". Linda enjoyed embroidering, puzzles, making jewelry, and talking to people. She embroidered many gifts and made jewelry for family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to caregiver, Cecilia DeAnda, who provided Linda with loving care, Virginia Rubio, Trusted and loyal friend who provided spiritual guidance and comfort, and to Windsor Gardens Rehab Center and the VNA Hospice who provided excellent care and compassion. Linda is survived by her mother Erlinda P. Rocha of Salinas, her biological mother, Mary (Fernando) Herrera of Oxnard; her sisters Elizabeth Orozco of Fullerton, Susan (Abel) Rosales of Ventura, and Sonia Singh of Oxnard. Her brothers Daniel (Lola) Rocha of Salinas, John (Elma) Rocha of Sacramento; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Baldomero C. Rocha, and her sister Gloria Fernandez. Even though she will be missed greatly, Linda will remain forever in our hearts.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
